The assessment process is personalised to meet the unique needs of each child and their family.
Initially, one of our therapists will meet with the key individuals in the child’s life to discuss their priorities, strengths, and areas where support is needed. Using this information, a customised plan will be created, which may involve standardised and non-standardised assessments, observations in natural environments, and collaboration with other professionals already involved with the child. All findings will be summarised in a report with recommendations.
After the assessment, the therapist and family will work together to identify and document goals that are meaningful to them, which will guide the therapy process.
Speech Pathology can assist with a variety of challenges, including difficulty speaking clearly, stuttering, issues with understanding or using language, and challenges with social communication.
